Something for the little ones

We go to the library once a week for story time for the little ones. It is geared toward their age group and they love it! Most things we do are for the older boys and the little boys go along for the ride. This is all for them and they really enjoy it.

Also, Ellen and I switch off watching the little boys for each other one day a week. Ellen watches Mac on Tuesdays and I watch Henry on Thursdays. It gives the us a break and the boys like to play with each other without the older boys once in awhile. It is a win-win for all of us.

Driving with GranJan

We were over at Ellen's house and the boys wanted to take a ride with GranJan in her BMW. They loved going around the block! Mac somehow missed the ride. Mac decided he wanted to ride so we had to move the carseats out of my car and she drove both boys home to our house. GranJan said Mac enjoyed the breeze in his face and JL at this point was tired and grouchy so that is why he looks so mad. We played all day long!!!!

Little Mulberry Park

We went to the park a couple of weeks ago when the weather started to turn nice. We had a ball! We played on the playground, had a picnic and fed the ducks at the pond.

The Boys went to the Circus

The boys went to the circus in September, while I was on a Girl's Trip. The Pangles' went to the show as well. They had a great time; however, Mac did not sit down much for the show. He likes to walk around instead!!!

Soccer

I don't know how I forgot to post that John Lawrence is playing fall soccer this year. He started in September and is enjoying it. Here are some pictures from the season so far. He started in September and it ends November 8th.

The entire 6 man team and coach Bill

Mac's new favorite thing on earth

Chocolate Milk!!!!!!

He has the biggest sweet tooth ever! If you remember, he is the reason we no longer have a cookie/treat jar on the counter. It is now in the pantry, but not being used. He can open the pantry door and freaks out until you give in and give him something. So we hide treats and he can't see them. I hide them in the grocery cart as well.

He loves chocolate, sugary candy, honey buns, cinnamon rolls and now chocolate milk.

He can
open the fridge
get the Hersey's syrup and milk out
hand them to me
climb on top of the counter (without a chair)
grab a spoon
and make me fix him glass of chocolate milk

Today he probably had 5 glasses!!! He also had 3 meltdowns because I finally told him no!

He is a wild man! I am going to try and get pictures of it the next time we make a glass.

JL scores a goal !!!!!

John Lawrence scored his first goal of the season today! He was so proud. He also got player of the game (he let me know that you don't
get a ball for it like you do in baseball)!

School project

I am late in posting, but here is JL's first school project that we made at home (homework). He was so proud of it. He had to present it to his class and talk and describe each picture.

A weekend of football

Mason and the boys went to Spartanburg for a boy's weekend. I was in Kentucky (see previous post) for the weekend. They started out at the Byrnes High School football game. Larry went to the game as well. They sat near Amber (her blog http://thedaysofkatiejo.blogspot.com/) and her family, they went to high school together. Thanks for the pictures Amber!

The next day Mason, Pop and John Lawrence went to see the South Carolina Gamecocks play in Columbia. Mac stayed with Mammy for the day. Thank goodness! They had a great time; however, our team lost.

John Lawrence loves to find Cocky-always a
highlight at the games.

Notice the score-SC was winning at the time

Mason saw this shirt and could not resist-
Grateful Dead and Gamecocks together.

By the way we are not Georgia Bulldog fans!!! Don't ever wonder if we are just because we live in the state. It will never happen. We pull for who ever they are playing on Saturdays.

Kentucky

I was out of town last weekend in Kentucky for my step-mom's surprise 50th bday party. We had a great time and my dad pulled out all the stops for Diane. It was a wonderful party with catered food, open bar and their favorite musician! I even danced a couple of times!

We also got to see Bob and Carol (step-grandparents). I love them and don't get to see them often. I will post a picture later after we get them back. Gregory had a professional photographer friend take some pictures of us all. It was great because it has been years since we had any taken. Thanks Gregory!!

Another treat was hanging out with Allison and Gregory. It has been such a long time since the three of us spent time together without kids and such...

It was a fabulous weekend!
Thanks Mason for keeping the boys....

Here comes trouble

The boys have a blast on this plasma car. Santa Claus brought it to John Lawrence last year and Mac absolutely loves it!!!!

Mac has come into our room at 3-4-and-5:00 am in the morning a few times when he first moved to his big boy bed on this thing! You could just hear wheels rolling onto the floor.
