Here are some During pictures of the carpet installation. I ordered carpet on a Tuesday and they were able to install it the next morning at 9am. Mason and I had a lot of work to do in a short amount of time. So worth it though!!

Before Pictures -Carpet

Here are some Before pictures of the carpet project that happened last week. We have carpet only in the 3 bedrooms and our master closet and it was time to replace it. You can see the cats did a number on our carpet before they got de-clawed. This is the original carpet to the house which is 12 years old.

We decided to go darker to hide dirt and I am trying to make a rule that kids can not wear shoes in the house. So far it is working. I love the darker color! You will see it in another post.

Spring Soccer Season

Soccer started about 3 weeks ago. We are back in it full force and having a lot of fun. Mason is JL's coach again and Mac has the same coach he had in the fall. Here are some pictures of John Lawrence's first game. I will try to get some of Mac this weekend.

The little things

John Lawrence has struggled with reading this year and has been making great strides, so as a reward for moving up in reading groups and jumping 2 levels he asked for Hand Sanitizer from Bath and Body Works. It is the little things that make these boys so happy.

Nana and Grandad

Nana and Grandad came to visit us last weekend. We were planning on going to the Georgia Aquarium on Saturday, but once we got downtown and saw how long the line was and realized how crowded it would be once inside~ we changed our minds. We ended up walking around town and had a great time. The boys got to play on the playground at Centennial Park, we went to the CNN Building and to the Westin (Sundial Restuarant) where we got some great views of the city.

It was a great trip and can't wait to see them again!

Valentine's Day

Since I am the only girl in the house, Valentine's Day is a big deal. John Lawrence is really good at gift giving and is teaching giving  Mason some major pointers. The boys were proud to give me gifts and I loved them all.

John Lawrence loved giving me flowers. Mac loved giving me the balloon and Mason loved giving me the calendar and dessert. I loved that they were so excited! I also liked that I got breakfast in bed and Mason made the boy's lunch and took them to school. It really is the little things.

Flag Football

John Lawrence played Flag Football through I9 Sports this winter. He loved it and it was fun to watch his confidence soar throughout the season. He played indoor, so it was impossible to get pictures of him playing. This was the best I could get. He is already saying he wants to play again in the Fall.

Our first time

We went 4 wheeling for the first time this week. It was more than the boys could ever have imagined. They loved it!
John Lawrence is just as we thought he would be. Level headed and uses good judgement as to which path to take. Mac on the other hand, is just like we thought he would be. Daring, quick to ride, moves before he thinks of the best path. Granted he is 5, but Mason has his work cut out for him!! It was truly so much fun and I even rode them both a little too.

The boys are both asking when we are going out to ride again. Mason could not be happier.

This week Mason surprised the boys with a 4 Wheeler! Mason told the boys we would get one in a couple of months, but surprised them this week. John Lawrence rode with Mason to pick it up and they surprised Mac with it when they got home. He was so excited! Mason is also planning on getting himself a 4Wheeler and then the fun starts. They first need to learn some safety tips, lessons, helmets, chest plates and more. It will be a process, but the boys (Mason, JL and Mac) are so excited!

Tomorrow

Tomorrow starts the beginning of the New Year in my eyes. John Lawrence goes back to school. Mason goes back to work. Mac starts school on Wednesday. Tomorrow I start getting the house back in order after the Christmas Holidays and start working on my New Years goals. Exercising and Organization are at the top of my list this year.

Today we slept late, had a friend sleepover, ate pancakes and bacon for breakfast and played until it was time to go to Monkey Joe's. There the boys played some more. I am ready for tomorrow, but it sure has been a fun 2 weeks off of school and everyday life.

I am ready for 2012!
