Here are some pictures of the "camping trip" in the backyard. Mason asked JL if he wanted to camp out in the afternoon and all day we heard how tired JL was and how he needed to go to bed in the tent. I guess you can say he loved it. Mac and I stayed in the house, but we did go out and join them for some of the action. We have grass in the yard and then some natural area in the way back, so that is where the tent was pitched.
JL loved the fire!!!! Mac was a wild man in the tent. He litterally threw himself against the sides.
We went to the Atlanta Falcons Training Camp about 1-2 weeks ago. It was the first time we had been and it was very cool. The boys loved seeing the players; however, JL was wondering why they weren't tackling really hard. I tried to explain it was practice and not a real game. They saved that for other players not the guys on their own team.
Mac, on the other hand was CRAZY... He was literally trying to walk onto the field or if not walk on the field he was thowing his little white football on the field mind you in the middle of (as JL would call it a fake football game). The photographers from the local newspapers were helping me get him and his ball off the field. It was at this point I decided we had to go home.
Every year they allow a few practices to be open to the public, but I don' t think this is what they had in mind. Good thing we sat in the bleachers for the first hour and went down to the side lines the last fifteen minutes.
We were in Myrtle Beach the last week in July with the Walker Family. We had a great time! Beautiful weather and lots of relaxing in the pool and on the beach. Here are pics of Mac. I will do a separate post for JL.
Mac was in trouble so he was hiding in the bushes
Aunt Martha Jan and "Doobie" Her nickname for him
Emma-Kate and Mac (she is a friend of Mason's daughter). Mac loved her !
On our way to Myrtle Beach for a family vacation we stopped for the night in Columbia to stay with Jamie and Jennifer Browder. It had been a year or so since we saw them last! We had a great time and loved seeing their son Will and their new house. Thanks guys for letting us stay with you.
